Re: Water Softner

I bought one at Wal-mart and installed it myself. I know some poor souls that spent between $3K and $4K to accomplish the same thing. Buy one yourself at HD or Lowes or WM and call a plumber to install it. Second point - you probably don't need one. After you've been here awhile then investigate the need for the softener.

go to lowes or home depot, they will install. They really help make the water taste good and soften it.

Went to Walmart and bought a water softener
Assemble one softener, CPVC pipe, 4 bags of salt, 2 18" flexible water unions, and elbows using hacksaw and CPCV cement.
Allow cement to dry 2 hrs and poof your in business
OH YEH don't forget to turn the water off before u make the first cut ;D
