Faux Painting
I would like to faux paint the walls but they are already textured. Any advice on how this can be done or a good contractor.
Thanks, Mary |
I don't hire out, but depending on what kind of faux painting you desire, Mary.. and how big a space you want to cover, you may be able to DIY.
If your walls presently have an 'orange peel' texture, a linen look paint technique ( or any kind of combing) would be enhanced by having that type texture on the wall. Suede-look paint might be interesting, as well. I found lots of how-to videos online…. just took some patience and a little elbow grease! If you want a pro, check with the paint stores (like Sherwin-Williams) as lots of painters drop their business cards there, when they buy their supplies. Good Luck- Have fun! |
