Uncommon virus strains force Hillsborough animal shelter to halt adoptions | Tampa Bay Times


This front page article in today's Tampa Bay Times says there are two uncommon strains of respiratory viruses showing up in Hillsborough County and suspected in other counties.

The viruses are extremely contagious, and the symptoms are similar to kennel cough.

There were reports of a deadly dog virus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My brother lives there and I am wondering if this might be the same virus. The virus was also discovered in Ohio.
