I'm embarrassed that you, a Veteran, had to start this thread. I should have applauded all of the wonderful Veterans first thing this morning. A heartfelt thank you and bless you to all Veterans and the young men and women currently in harms way or serving our country.

Thank you to all the Veterans !!! I am an Army Mom and couldn't be more proud to say I live in the USA !!! We cannot thank the men and women in uniform enough.

BTW, many places around town are giving 10% discounts to veterans. BB&B was giving 20% last weekend; don't now if they still are. Publix liquor store, 10% (for sure today), Carrabba's, Cody's, Home Depot... all last weekend and hopefully today. Worth checking out

Don't be disheartened, Houselover, I think there are many, many grateful people for the those in the service of our country. I have been very impressed by the renewed sense of appreciation our citizens have for the Armed Forces in the United States and perhaps many are out to ceremonies and celebrations even as I type.

I watched as our soldiers come home from the Vietnam War and, hopefully, we will never treat our American soldiers that way again.
