Various Questions - Newbies to The Villages
 

We are new to TV and would like some input on a couple of things:

* Phone service and long distance - do most people utilize a local phone service and long distance now or merely utilize cellphones? If a local one is used, what company?
* Television - we have heard that cable offers packages where you only need to pay for it when someone is utilizing the home - does that sound correct? Has anyone heard of dish or direct tv doing something like that?
* What is all included in TV billing? We have heard water, sewer, garbage and HOA fee.

We use Comcast for television and internet and cell phones as Verizon to Verizon is always free. Everyone we know in TV and back up north uses the same cell phone carrier. To go back to Comcast, we ALWAYS ask what promotion we are eligible for yearly as we are snowbirds. In some cases, Comcast service leaves a bit to be desired but for the most part, the reps are fine.....when you can talk to one. Your VCDD bill will cover water, sewage, trash removal and amenities. Never did check 'Nuts & Bolts of The Villages' but will do so now and thanks for that Bogie Shooter. Never stop learning.
