I redelivered 14 packages last year that were left on my deck when I was out. This year we will be in the villages starting Dec 1, I wonder how many won't get their packages when I am not here to redirect and redeliver.

I worked for Fedex for 25 years. Just in my rather small last station I worked (Fort Myers, FL) we had well over 100 trucks. Magnify that by the number of stations throughout the country and the cost would be phenomenal. Realize at Christmas time, for both companies, it's "ALL HANDS ON DECK", everyone works wherever needed and all the routes are being run by different couriers depending on volume, not just the regular route knowledgable couriers. Know that those couriers are working long, hard hours, and MOST are doing their very best to be sure everyone gets their holiday packages. At least for Fedex, wherever I've been, this is our time to shine, and while we may falter a few steps, we are sincerely trying to do our best, spend many hours away from our families, and pretty much know, we get it done...period.end. So, thanks for giving us a hand...sorry you had to help, but we are grateful you did, and didn't just call to have us re-do it. Hopefully someday either company can return the favor to you. P.S. I DID hear it's pretty crazy down here too, so be forewarned :)
