Thor: The Dark World

Thor: The Dark World - Rotten Tomatoes

If you like this series, you should like this one. It was OK for me. The things happening at the Old Mill Playhouse were more interesting to me yesterday. Someone called out "Liar, Liar" when I was walking past the snack bar in front of Auditorium 1 and I seriously thought about doing my Robert de Niro Taxi Driver Travis Bickle imitation of "You talkin' to me?" but I restrained myself. It did probably cause some misfortune to the people around me at Thor: the Dark World as these kind of experiences give me gas. :a20: And, it was a 2 hour or so movie. http://youtu.be/X5QGr6ZzX6c

I found it as entertaining as the first. And just like in the first movie, it got very slow and boring inthe middle before it picked up again.

I did see an extra scene at the start of the credits but wonder if there was another one at the end of them??

SPOILER ALERT
There were two scenes:

1) Them having breakfast and arguing about whether Thor will return or not. Stuff happens. End Scene

2) Two of the Asgardians are seen carrying a block/stone carrying the Aether from the movie. The Aether is one of five Infinity Stones that give whoever controls them omnipotent power. It's believed in the movies that the Aether is the Stone of Power, and the Tesseract (blue cube from Captain America, Avengers) is the Stone of Space. The Collector is not the best guy and may have a further role in the saga.

As far as the movie goes, I thought it was fantastic. To avoid rambling, it'd probably be best to list them.

Loki - he is the God of Mischief, capable of great good and terrible evil. This was demonstrated in the film better than the past.

Jane Foster/Natalie Portman - I believe her character was useless in the first Thor. Glad that she had a better role and was actually useful and important to the story.

Thor wasn't such a dim-witted jock character as in the first.

Overall, I think it's one of the best films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far.
