Meyers Lemon Trees
 

Does anyone know where to purchase a Meyers Lemon. Tree? Friends gave us some lemons from their tree. Wonderful and juicy!!!

We have a fruit cocktail tree which has meier lemons on it. You're right they are great. We purchased our tree at the nursery on the corner of 466 and 301. Sorry I don't know the name of it. It's been a couple of years ago.

Just got our tree. Anyone have any hints on care?

Are they cold hardy?? Our designer told us that this area of Fla is a difficult spot for citrus and Palms. That is why The Villages does not plant palms on any homesites. They have lost too many over the years.
We would love to have some citrus trees, but worry about them not being cold hardy.
I would love a list of cold hardy citrus varieties, if anyone has one.

We planted a Meyers Lemon 3 years ago. Bought it from Richard the plant guy at the Market of Marion. Last year we had 1 lemon. This year we had a wonderful tree full! Brewing a batch of Limoncello now! Is very cold hardy once established. The 1st year we were here was the 2nd winter of that terrible cold snap. So we covered it at night. This year we will prune it. It has VERY large, sharp thorns so plant it in an area away from traffic and wear gloves when working with it. The flowers are beautiful and the lemons wonderful!

I have a 4 year old tree that is loaded with fruit BUT this year the skin has a rusty look to it and most of the fruit is smaller than in the past. Anyone know if this is ok to eat as they are still juicy? The cause?

We had a cocktail tree planted seven years ago. the tree needs about a year or so and then the fruit keeps on coming. It has survived and flourished despite some very cold weather. Needs some care.
