Central Vac

We love our home here in The Villages but one thing that we miss from back home is our central vac. We purchased and tried a top of the line upright vacuum with a hose attachment but found it to be too cumbersome and were constantly banging into things. Our system back home is by Vacuflow which we really like. We went on their website and found a local dealer called Premier Central Vacuum (352-307-6581). The owner Larry and his son John installed our new system last week. They did a great job! They were very clean, the installation was perfect and it works great. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in central vacuums. I would also recommend central vac to everyone in The Villages and the best system on the market is definitely Vacuflow.

I agree. We had Premier install a system several weeks ago and it works great. The Vacuflo has a feature where the hose stores in the vacuum tube in the wall. We have a 50' and 30' house in our house, both are very manageable. If you are into the coolness factor it is a hard feature to pass up.

We have had a central vac system since 1986. We insisted on one before we would purchase a home here in 2006. they are the cat's pajama's

We had central vac systems in the two houses before we moved here. While I liked them, storing the very long hose was always a problem. So I liked when they came out with the system where the hose stores in the wall, but wonder two things: will the retraction system eventually lose it's oomph, and can you have this system installed in an already-built house without ripping up the walls and having to spackle and repaint?

Another feature we weren't crazy about... the hose marking up the baseboards when dragging it around corners, etc., if you were not careful. And if you were on more than one floor, you had to carry 50' of hose up or down the stairs. If you have a retraction system, would there be a retracted hose on each floor?

We use the IRobot, it is just simple to use and gets every sq inch.

Like having a maid doing your work

We use the IRobot too. It gets into places (under beds, low couches, and chairs) that a standard vacuum can't reach. We purchased ours refurbished and they're still going strong after 3 years.

Do you have more than one? If so, any particular reason?

We still live in PA and have one for each floor. They were less than $99.00 each when we purchased them 3 years ago from woot. We have 2 rescued labs and a foster lab/hound mix. We also subsidize our heat with two pellet stoves. LOTS of hair and dust!! The little robots scoot around and pick it all up.

We used Premier as well for our central vac system. Extremely thrilled with the ease and suction of this system. With my lower back issue there are no problems. But the suction is like no other.

That's really intriguing. What is woot? Is it online?
