Orange Blossom Repairs Expected to Begin Soon

Daily Sun , November 27, 2013

Interior demolition work is about to begin in advance of renovations at the historic country club of Orange Blossom Gardens.
Demolition is required to the interior because of the age of the building, The Villages Commercial Property Management Division advised. The time frame for renovations will be based on the type of repairs needed that are found during demolition.

Starter at golf course told us last week that the course is closing in april for the whole summer for repairs and that the restaurant opening will coincide with the golf course opening in fall.

Hey Bogie.

You notice how your reasonable update based in fact and not rumor doesn't get a lot of replys?

Interesting.

Interesting.

What's the update based on facts? Work is about to begin? What repairs are needed? What's the time frame? Same ol', same ol'. Still waiting to see? Don't have a copy of the paper.

You probably read that here on TOTV. Where someone was repeating something heard for the guy cleaning the pool.
What I posted was from the DS. Does not give dates or scope but at least something will be done. And it is from an official source.
Not sure what you do not understand?

As we drove around Water Tower Circle this evening we noticed dumpsters behind Orange Blossom Country Club restaurant. So we stopped and peeked in the windows at the restaurant and saw with our own eyes that the demo has started. It is gutted down to the floor tiles. They have even removed the ceilings. I'm so glad to see work has commenced. The restaurant is an important attribute to the Historic Side. I am looking forward to the future of this country club restaurant and to see what "they" do with it and the Tiki Bar.

I agree.

I was under the impression the work had started months ago? I've since never really followed after that.

Don't get too excited, they gutted El Santiago also and there it sits.

The Morses, probably are even MORE interested to seeing them rented and working as restaurants than we villagers are.

I don't think there is a conspiracy or the developers have dropped the ball. I am sure when valid tenants are in the picture things will move forward rapidly.

Having a building empty is not part of the plan, I would have to guess, since everything here seems to be done so well.
