Where to buy seafood

Where is the best place to buy fresh seafood. The local grocery stores seem to all carry seafood from Indonesia.

the guy btwn the church and fruit stand on 466 just east of the intersection of morse blvd an 466 is a great place,, honest clean and fair prices (not cheap).

Fresh Market!

I agree with Villageshooter. Without a doubt, the freshest and best seafood I have ever purchased. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I like Bubba's Crab on 44 off off of 441. Weekends you can get fresh still wiggling haddock and cod, depending on what got flown in. Other times he has excellent bricks of flash frozen that is excellent. There is usually a coupon in the paper for something or other. I think he's closed on Sundays.

I purchase from this same vendor at the Brownwood Saturday market. Every purchase has been excellent.

The same vendor is at all of the farmer's market days in TV. Very fresh fish, highly recommend. Will also bring in special items if he knows in advance you are coming (like conch chowder, key lime pie).

I have tried to find him many, many times and never found him there. Does anyone know if he has a schedule?

The best places to find him are the farmers markets at Spanish Springs and Brownwood. He did plan on being at the barn on 466 on Fridays, but I don't know if that is happening.

RErmer 02-08-2014 09:02 PM

Schedule for Lighthouse Seafood:
Thurs 9 - 2 Spanish Springs
Fri 1 - 5:30 The Big Red Barn (466)
Sat 9 - 2 Brownwood
Sat 3:30 - 5:30 The Big Red Barn
Sun 1 - 5 The Big Red Barn

From a schedule I got from them about a month ago.
