Why does cartingthevillages say this?
 

"Arteries
The main arteries of The Villages are Morse Blvd., Buena Vista Blvd., El Camino Real, and a portion of Stillwater Trail. These roads all have four lanes and have 35 mph speed limits. Carts are not permitted to travel on or cross these roads. All cart crossings on these arteries are by tunnels."

I don't know about the others, but this is not true about Morse. I had renters from England who were very confused by the above statement. They called me and wondered how they were supposed to go anywhere if they weren't allowed to cross Morse to get in the northbound cart lane! It also is not a 4 lane road from 466 to Hacienda, but even where it IS 4 lanes at Hacienda, you can still cross it.

Why not share your concern with the people who have built this wonderful map for all of us to use ..................for free?

That suggestion from Bogie was right on, BC. The only people to fix the issue, if there is one and I'm assuming there is from your comment, are the people providing the info. You may want to contact them again since we're just coming off a holiday where many people have been traveling.

I contacted them months ago, not during the holidays.
Please see the last half of my last sentence as to my reason for posting here.

It is heartwarming to see that after 2 threads, thousands of views and hundreds of responses about addressing the op's subject in a nice non sarcastic way ...... that the sentiment lasted practically no time at all.

It is also not true for El Camino Real. Carts legally cross it at the ECR & Enrique / Bortello intersection and also at the ECR / Morse roundabout.

Please, as Bogie said, send your concern to that wonderful mastermind Mike, and great guy in person, who took the time to do this mapping for all of us.

I just don't understand why some folks post on TOTV with that little hint of "what the hell is wrong with this" attitude. It seems to me that in most cases the folks that can fix a problem, will fix the problem given the chance.

I believe the speed limit on Morse, North of 466, is 30MPH.

Where I grew up, they used to say, "For Free take, for buy, complain."


Mike did this mapping out of the kindness of his heart. If it isn't quite perfect yet, the price is right.
