Garage Door Remote Keypad

I had a remote keypad installed on Monday. Since then I have had to replace the battery to get it to work. As of today, it will not work at all. I tested the battery and it is good. Could this be a defective unit or am I doing something wrong?

Assuming you have the MVP key pad, be sure you hit "enter" before you put in the code.

You may have to reinstall the codes.

I find I have to punch in my code very slowly and deliberately, otherwise it doesn't work.

That must be why I can't get in the garage door when the guys drop me off from World of Beer!

Thanks for the suggestions. I did some trouble shooting and even removed the remote (as someone suggested in a private message) and stood in the driveway trying to get it to work. Apparently, I need to press OK and then wait about 5 seconds before I enter my code. It works every time when I do that. Now that I figured that out, the battery I replaced probably wasn't bad. I guess I was being too impatient.

I thought the problem was operator error, but I was wrong! After 1 day it drained another battery. That is 3 batteries in 1 week! At this point, I figured the controller was defective. New controller was installed today and it works like it should!

Thanks to everyone who helped me troubleshoot.
