Owens Corning Roof Failure
 

I filed a claim with Owens corning in October 2013 for shingle failure and seem to be getting the runaround from them. They keep telling me it will be a few months for them to send someone out. Any recommendation on dealing with this issue?

I believe they will take the word of a "CERTIFIED HOME INSPECTOR"
rather than sending someone out from the company. It will be on
your dime to hire the inspector.

That should speed up your claim.

If you have a claim number from OC, you can try taking the route I did to get my roof replaced. The process was completed a few weeks ago and the work and expediency of the work crew was excellent.

I began by getting our claim number from OC then had Barney at C&S Residential Roofing (352-637-0049) take care of inspecting the roof and sending a report and photos to OC. He can get the inspection done a whole lot quicker than what OC is telling you.

Working with OC can be a little frustrating, but Barney can get you through the process as he has done with ourselves and 5 other of my immediate neighbors, with one left to go.
