Newspaper vacation stop

Do you know the procedure for suspending delivery of the Daily Sun? Most daily papers have a link or a phone number dedicated to requesting a temporary vacation stop. The Daily Sun website has listing for Circulation and Customer Service. I left a message requesting suspension but came home from a trip to find a collection of newspapers on my driveway anyway -- most of them wet.

It has always worked for us for six years. You call or email and tell them and they suspend circulation. They are so NICE when you call.

Next time call the paper, talk to a real person, tell them when to stop and when to start - works all the time. Newspapers in your driveway are a dead giveaway that the house is empty. In our neighborhood, newspapers left on the driveway past about 11am are picked up by one of us and placed out of sight close to the front door.

The question was about the daily sun.

Golfingnut, I do believe Bogie was using this as an example of why not to just call a newspaper and leave a voice mail. Sometimes one should not take things so literally. That's what I keep lecturing to myself, anyway--especially during things like pickleball lessons.

How does the email process work?

It's so easy. Just call 352-751- 796 four, and get a very nice lady that is more than happy to help you. Call her again a day or two before you want to resume delivery.
