Hearing Loss Association meeting Tuesday, March 4, 2014


The Hearing Loss Association of America-Central Florida will be having its next meeting on Tuesday, March 4th at the Churchill Street Recreation Center, 2375 Churchill Downs, The Villages, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., in the Triple Crown room.

We're honored to have a returning guest speaker, Edie Gibson, Au.D. Senior Cochlear Implant Consumer Specialist with Advanced Bionics, LLC.

Dr. Gibson will be introducing Advanced Bionics’ wireless Cochlear Implant processor as well as talk about bilateral hearing strategies being introduced by Advanced Bionics.

The Triple Crown room will be looped for your hearing assistance.

Our guest speaker for our February 4th, 2014 meeting is Dottie England, a class instructor of speech and lip reading techniques. She'll discuss how to train your eyes to hear what your ears can't hear. Our meeting takes place at the Churchill Street Recreation Center, 2375 Churchill Downs, The Villages, FL in the Triple Crown room from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.,on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014. Can you tell me if there are any deaf people inn the Villages that rely on sign language? Are there any support groups or interpreting services? Heydetn@bellsouth.net
