He is in our thoughts, and your family as well. Sending caring thoughts your way.

I'm sad for you. There's no real comfort without a miracle in your heart.

KathieI 12-31-2013 01:17 PM

I am so sorry, Ed. You're right, you have a permanent scar in your heart and it will be there always. You never get over the loss of a child or grandchild. Try to do the best you can. Remember the good times.

You are in the thoughts of all of us in The Villages.

Abby10 12-31-2013 01:34 PM

Ed - your words are so descriptive of the heartache of the loss of someone so close and so young. Although I was just a lurker on TOTV when you first posted this a year ago, I remember it clearly as my heart and prayers went out to you at that time. They continue today for you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss, but I am also curious. What are people doing in Q's memory to save lives?

He donated seven organs to help seven other people live.

Those are seven amazing gifts. Has anyone in the family had the opportunity to meet the recipients?

Then he lives on in seven people who will forever be grateful.

Thinking of you today ...

God bless you and your family, Ed. I cannot come close to imagining your sorrow. I hope you find some solace in knowing other people care.

Unortunately, there are no set of words, that will comfort you and Leila.

No parent or grandparent will have to know the pain of losing a child.

Hoping the good times, will put distance between you, and the tragedy of losing Quentin.

My heart goes out to you and so sorry for your loss.
