Gown Purchase

My son is getting married in June in Philadelphia. Can anyone recommend a bridal salon that has a full selection of mother of the bride/groom gowns? I live year-round in The Villages so buying a gown up North isn't realistic. I would rather not travel further than Orlando if possible.

Thanks a bunch for any suggestions you might have.

There is a David Bridal in Altomonte Springs. I have also passed a Bridal store in Ocala. I would google your request.

Have you thought of Nordstrom: Shoes, Dresses, Jewelry, Cosmetics & More

They do free shipping and free returns. If you find something you like, check out the feedback first before ordering. I think you can get three dresses, send back the one you don't want.

Last year when our group was at the Cattle Baron fashion shows one of the women bought a gown with jacket in a beautiful cobalt blue that was either Patchington or Bear Dance Boutique for her son's wedding. Worth checking locally before going afar.

I had to do that several years ago. Believe it or not, Dillards in Ocala had a huge selection and that is exactly where I purchased mine. It was beautiful and my daughter-in-law loved it and was very impressed. (She is a name brand type of gal!)

You might check out Frugels in Leesburg. I don't know where they get their items but they have a very elegant selection of gowns with very reasonable prices. They seem to be one of a kind. If it's consignment (?) it's very high end .

Ditto for Dillard's in Ocala. They have the largest formal wear collection of any large department store I've ever seen. Great selection of sizes, colors and styles and not overly priced...especially if you can find something you like on one of their sale racks. Good luck with the hunt!

You might also want to check with Dillards. I ordered about 7 or 8 dresses on line. Had my girlfriends over for a fashion show and picked one. Sent the rest back with no problem. You may want to call the store first to make sure they take returns on formal wear. I did that and they said no problem. I had no luck at all at the bridal stores. They carried only a few dresses for mother of the groom
