I have tried a short putter and a long putter. I can’t make putts with any of them.

What Tournament were you on this weekend?

There is no "normal" way to putt. It's the most individual part of the game and there are a variety of ways that both pros abd amateurs grip and stroke the putter. Have you seen Bryson putt?

Putting is line and speed. Adam put mostly good strokes on his putts but 1 of these variables was off all day.

None. It's a spectator sport, like football. Thousands of people comment about football players all year, but almost none of them actually play football.

Adam had the yips. This can happen at anytime but usually as you get older. Not to brag but I use to be a very good putter by using the left hand low style for 20 plus years. One day, a couple years ago, I got the yips and from that day until today putting has been a struggle. I also observed that Adam Scott had issues with his irons at the BMW Championship. This problem too comes with age. Neither of these issues keeps you from playing and enjoying golf if you have the right attitude. Fore!

He putted great the day before. Struggled on Sunday. Golf is a cruel game.

Adam Scott made 20 birdies & an eagle this week. He tied for 2nd and won 1.5 million dollars.

I’m guessing his response would be, ‘don’t cry for me Argentina‘! 😎

You make a fair point. However, I bet he still would rather have won.

A lot of problems come with age! Ain’t just golf!

Out the "top 50 PGA" golfers (some 1/2 his age)......................he kicked most of their ___'s.

Re: why you can’t anchor your putter….

Because it makes putting too easy. Same reason you can’t putt croquet-style… you have to have both feet on the same side of the ball so you’re forced to adjust for an additional sight axis.

He should also not wear red but he can do whatever he feels like doing?
