Here's everything that needs to be said about Tiger.

Wonder how much admiration Tiger fans had for Sergio's talent and contributions to the game. He deserves to be forgiven too ? Way to go PGA. At least the NFL calls a penalty on poor sportsmanship.

Rage???? Are you serious? He hit some bad shots and showed a bit of emotion. Yes, he said "God Damn" but is that really rage? He might have all let a few F bombs fly over the years, but when you consider how many bad shots he has hit they are few and far between.

One of the things about Tiger is that he was caught in these moments because he was on camera so much more than any other player. The fact that there are enough clips of him reacting this way proves that. Many of the tour players react to bad shots this way but you couldn't find enough clips to make up a six minute video of any of them. Not because they don't do it, but because they are not on camera enough.

I'm not defending the F bombs and Tiger should be more aware that he is on camera with sound more than any other player current or past.

It's really difficult to compare it to other sports and other athletes because we usually don't get to hear what goes on on a football field or basketball court.

Se my previous post please. Tiger has done way more good in the world than bad.

Rage? A fit of violent anger? Where I come from Tiger's behavior in this video clip is borderline polite. Ok, not saying much about my roots however a. it is directed at himself and b. all it is is a slipped g-d or f-bomb.

To me rage is more like these examples:

John McEnroe’s angry outbursts - YouTube

TubeChop Jimmy Connors Tirade 1991 U S Open 00 40 - YouTube

I totally agree. That wasn't even close to rage. I giggled at him talking to himself.
You want to see rage? Check out his wife attacking him with a golf club. If a man had done this, he'd be in jail for domestic violence. The double standard is alive and well.

I think Tiger's supposed "rage," is very minor...compared to a lot of other folks. ;)

That green jacket is starting to show some mold. However the media says TW remains an honorable sportsman.

“Woods, who seldom takes a jab at anyone, made his feelings clear this week when asked at a news conference about Daly’s use of a cart.

“As far as J.D. taking a cart,” he said, “well, I walked with a broken leg, so...”

I do believe TW limped off the course yesterday not to return today.

McEnroe's was the best/worse ever. He just wouldn't give it up.

Now here's some rage that violates the Marquess of Queensberry rules. Make Tiger seem pretty tame.

That was my parents' sometimes 1970s bridge partner-- Mills Lane-- as the referee in that Vegas fight. Mills had helped me in the 1990s with my own problems.

What a great day for golf today. A major tournament and I actually got to watch the leader/s. Again I pushed the mute button when the old comparisons started. Given that Johnny Miller and Ian Baker Finch weren't broadcasting I didn't have to wear out the mute button. Just a side note TW won the US open at Bethpage Black with a score of 3 under par in 2002. At this moment Koepka is minus 12 on the 18th round 3. Can't wait to watch tomorrow.

My sentiment as well.
We do enjoy watching golf on tv but not when it is the TW show......and others.
TW is a past great gofer that will today win one once in a while....like Mickelson et al.

The media frenzy over he is "back" is unwarranted as this weekend demonstrated.

Today was very enjoyable and looking forward to tomorrow.

No disrespect to TW intended.....just want the reality of the day to prevail....the past is past!

More apples and oranges:

"Tiger Woods said it was hard to replicate his Masters form, as the 15-time major champion failed to make the cut at the PGA Championship."

(Koepka) "In line to become the only player ever — as in ever, as in all of golf history — to hold two consecutive trophies from two consecutive majors. (He’s won back-to-back U.S. Opens and is the defending PGA champ."

I don't know how many watched the first round of The Memorial yesterday, but St Phil hit it into a bunker off the tee on the 18th hole and dropped an F bomb on television. Tiger is not the only one. The difference with Tiger is that he was on television more than anyone else so he got caught more than anyone else.

And then we got to watch the nicest guy in golf, Koooooch, hold up play for fifteen minutes making a ridiculous argument over a ruling that was made on a bad break that he got. I guess because he did it with a smile on his face it was OK.

But the Tiger hate will continue. I've met many professional athletes in my time and one thing that I've noticed is that very few of the are like their public persona.

I like Phil and I like Matt Kuchar but if Tiger had done either of these things, he would have been excoriated by the Tiger haters.

Time to give credit to other GOLFERS. He hasn't been the number 1 golfer for many years.

Boom 💥! I agree ☝️!
