Question Needle in a haystack? (ADA home for a week in spring)

Greetings, Villagers & the Universe!

The Bottom Line
Looking on/off TV property for a house/villa/apartment/hotel/suite that's ADA accessible - wide door ways, bathrooms with grab bars not only in the shower but also by the toilet, etc. Cooking will be done by an able-bodied person, so regular appliances & cabinets would be okay.

The Rest of the Story
My sister, her hubby, and their adult son are looking on/off TV property to rent for about a week in the Jan-March 2020 time frame. My 30 yo nephew has Friedreich's Ataxia (FARA - Home if you're interested) and is now wheelchair bound.

We know that most homes are "accessible" in that a person can get into/out of the home in a wheelchair, but few have wide enough doorways, nor turning space in bedrooms, bathrooms and showers to make for a comfortable visit.

I've put a request out thru the Lifestyle folks, but we figure that's a long shot. If you have any experience with hotels or private homes nearby that will actually reserve an accessible room (some chains will not guarantee it <sigh>), please share.

We live in Fenney so closer would be better, but bottom line still holds - we want to include them in TV life during their visit and they'll need a suitable place to stay.

Many thanks for all helpful suggestions.

Thank you for the link.

Marriott chains of hotels often won’t guarantee that they will provide an ADA accessible room. That’s the co that left my sister in the lurch on another vacay.
Here’s hoping this property’s management is more attuned to special needs!

I’ll reach out to the manager...
