Default Arby’s on 466–What a disappointment!

Had never been to Arby’s before, so I was curious to try it. Well today I satisfied my curiosity. We stopped there for lunch. I ordered their “classic” roast beef sandwich. My wife had a turkey sandwich. What a disappointment! Hard to believe this RB sandwich was the basis for this chain’s success. Turkey was marginally better. Yes I know it’s fast food and I should not have expected more, but I’m now curious, how do they stay in business? Was that really meat? Maybe regulars know what to order? Fast food in TV is generally better than fast food elsewhere, with this exception.

Default Arbys

Do you remember reading about cows mutilated by extraterrestrials? I think Arby's bought the leftovers.

It has to be the management here at that location.
Usually the Arby's classic roast beef is an outstanding selection at any store I have been to to date....I have not tried the one on 466.
Contact the manager/owner....not one of the $15 per hour day managers.

I think Arby's roast beef is actually pieces of beef pressed into a loaf and then sliced to make it look like roast beef.

I accept that I may not have ordered their best sandwich. My son said he always orders Arby’s “double” roast beef. My complaint however was not the amount of meat on the sandwich. It was just a very poor quality of processed meat. I’m not interested in trying them again. It was that bad.

I went into an Arby's once, on opening day when they built in our area. I made it to the front of the line and saw them putting the meat on the sandwiches, and walked right back out without ordering. Mud-brown meat is about as appetizing as mud-brown mud.

You said it right there...the meat is processed! Processed foods are not good, nor good for us and never tastes quite as good as the real thing.

There's nothing wrong with an occasional italian sub with ham, genoa, mortadella, hot capicola, and provolone cheese. That's all processed food.

But there's a huge difference between processed and OVERprocessed. Unprocessed meat would be a raw slab of flesh. As soon as you start cooking it, it becomes processed, by definition. It is undergoing a process to turn it from inedible to edible.
