Sorry to hear that. We go to one in Mulberry Grove and had enjoyed their service and staff for the past 6 years without a problem.

Hopefully, you are not serious but using this as an analogy for walking out of a restaurant without paying. Otherwise, you could have spent the night in jail for shoplifting $4.00 worth of stuff.

That would be correct. I am amazed at the number of posters who seem to think that walking out of the restaurant and not paying was not only correct but would possibly teach the server an important tough lesson in life. I took that opinion and simply moved it to Walmart. Those who didn't see the analogy did seem to identify the action clearly as theft but somehow many don't see non-payment of a restaurant charge as theft.

The one thing that we are all forgetting here...the op couldn't get the server's attention to get her food. So how was she supposed to get the check?
And a $35 gift certificate would not have swayed me in the least. I never go back anywhere just to be aggravated again.

Not even worth my response. Simply stupid and not applicable.

OP obviously had a bad restaurant Experence. Give OP a break. This post is not about her but about really poor service in a TV restaurant. Who really knows what anyone of us might do under similar circumstances.

[QUOTE=mikeod;792193]If the server got stuck with paying for two soft drinks, I would consider it an inexpensive, yet powerful, learning experience about leaving a customer UN-served. Perhaps better to absorb the cost of the drinks than to have the manager fire her for her inattention to customers.[/QUOTE

She also missed out on a very healthy tip, had she done her job. Yessss, we were starving, and shaky too. Waiting 1 hour 15 min????

Really it sounds like more then one in this crowd. If service was that bad you just pay the bill or leave the money on the table and not leave a tip. I believe you were just upset and did not consider the end result.

Way too liberal response. More sympathy for worker than is deserved.
