"there goes a Ballantine blast". I loved his saying of "how about that"!!!!! Back to the thread. When I started drinking, Schaeffer was the most popular beer in the neighborhood. PBR and Schlitz were around. My neighbor had recently served Schaeffer to me. IMHO - It didn't taste nearly as good as some of the beers out today. |

Had a friend whoes father worked for Schaefer Beer. I was wondering if they were still around. You saved me asking the question. |
Taking this topic back to the original topic (BTW, my nostalgic baseball beer commercial was listening to the Indians games and hearing the whistle for "Mabel...Black Label!")
Is there any restaurant in the Villages or surrounding area that carries microbrews on tap? I do not mean Yuengling, which I enjoy, but a variety of IPAs, Porters and Stouts. I cannot find one. |
Walgreens in Colony Plaza often has 12 packs of Genny Cream stacked over by the freezers.

I really wish there was a place that had a bunch of craft beers in one of the squares. Bud, Miller, and Yuengling just ain't cutting it.:cus:
