Oakwood and Outback. Fast food burger, Five Guys. I was dragged to Culver’s the other and was pleasantly surprised at the seasoning. It is very tasty. I look forward to trying some of the recommendations.

Go to Steak and shake, and get a malt

meridian5850 05-02-2022 10:53 AM

In The Villages, I'd say Johnny Rocket's original cheeseburger.
Outside The Villages, Red Robin's original cheeseburger.

Red Robin does have a nice burger and do like the unlimited fries.

Best Burgers

Closest thing I've found to In-n-Out is Culvers. I was hoping In-n-out would take up Florida's invitation to come here when California shut them down.
Utah has In-n-Out burgers because someone opened a fast food place called Cheddars and had the same menu and design. In-n-Out sued for copyright but lost so they opened a 5 restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley to compete. We were very grateful!
Anyone want to open a Cheddars here??

Michael G. 05-02-2022 11:50 AM

Here's my take on hamburgers.

With all the ingredients we put on burgers, lettuce, pickles, catsup, cheese, onions.

Then there's lean burgers, turkey burgers, vegetable burgers, God knows what else.

I swear we all could be eating ground dog meat, and nobody would notice the difference.

There is a Cheddars in Ocala.

Best Burgers WILL be at Burger Fi, soon to open in Pinellas Plaza near the Beaumont development. They have a burger called the CEO that has burger that is a mix of American Wagyu and Brisket topped by a candied bacon and tomato relish; Swiss cheese; caramelized onions; and a truffle aioli. Get it with the Truffle style fries: Parmesan cheese and a truffle, garlic aioli.

I believe that will be in the Beaumont development across the street from the Pinellas Plaza and just outside the Villages. (can't get there by golf cart). I'm looking forward to trying it.

I have a bread machine that I use on the “dough setting “ to mix the dough and it rises a couple times. 1-1/4 cups warm water, 2tbsp olive oil , 1 tsp salt, 2tbsp sugar, 3cups bread flour and 1 tsp bread machine yeast. After the dough is ready I divide it into buns and it goes in the oven on 200 for 35 minutes then turn oven to 325 and cook until they look good. Brush with butter after taking them out of the oven. It sounds like a lot of work but the machines do all the work !

We do something similar but use whole wheat flour and add to the rising times

Do not know the best burger but do recommend that you do not go to the pool bar at Nancy Lopez unless you like a well done burger. Have had good burgers at Codys and Millers Ale House.

I am finding out lately that this it is getting difficult to order a burger which is less cooked than medium and I do like a good rare or medium rare burger.

They do have reasonably good taste, but can not be ordered by cooked temperature.

Cody may have the best burgers but also the worst service we have seen since living here.

Sometimes I substitute one cup of whole wheat flour . Makes a great bun

Luggage 05-03-2022 05:21 AM

I will say that Ruby Tuesdays had a one pound Burger that my wife had . She truly enjoyed it oh, but my real answer would be, make it at home on a grill with a simple recipe Chuck meat so there's a lot of fat, chop up some mushrooms to keep moisture in and some chopped mushrooms, is Montreal spices and salt and pepper and if you really want to get crazy put some American cheese in the middle between two patties, press the edges cook at medium heat and flip twice then go crazy and toast your buns and enjoy the best burger you'll ever have. Don't forget a slice of onion and tomato and lettuce on the sandwich as well. I truly believe everyone can make a better burger at home, then having one at a restaurant

steve1025 05-03-2022 05:29 AM

My favorite burger

I don’t like greasy burgers either.

Freeda 05-03-2022 07:49 AM

Cody's. They're made from steak scraps and ha e a charcoal grilled taste.

fdpaq0580 05-03-2022 08:06 AM

Best burger? Depends on what you are in the mood for and your taste. Try putting some kimchi on your next burger and kick it up a notch.

SusanStCatherine 05-03-2022 08:16 AM

Meat District - Shaq burgers - Half pound Angus brisket, short ribs, and chuck. $18 for four in a pack.

We've been getting these fresh in the ground beef section from Publix when they have them in stock. We love them. Our guests are always impressed. I'm not a big fan of burgers, but these are great.

I know you asked about restaurants, but for the sake of others on this post, I felt obligated to share this information.

Tillson1 05-03-2022 08:18 AM

Farmshed Spanish Springs. By far the best

Kbbrown 05-03-2022 08:54 AM

We tried these burgers and they are great! I suppose if you wanted to purchase a meat grinder you could make them yourself but not worth the trouble for us.

To declare anything the best implies having sampled everything. I haven't tried many of the recommendations in this thread but my favorite burger during my eight years in TV was at IHOP.

It's a document and list of ingredients for how to cook or bake things. But that's not important right now. And don't call me Shirley.

No one for Beef O'Brady's. I thought they were great.

Topspinmo 05-18-2022 09:08 AM

Nothing like Mickey D Big Mac with stale bun. Or cheese burger that’s been setting on the rack for while……….but at least the fries are good, when there fresh out of deep fryer.
