No idea how it is made but as far as I can tell they cook up a batch of green peas and than mash them.

Best fish and chips is the grouper at Frenchy’s in Clearwater Beach. The best in TV is at Blue Fin imho.

Fried fish for fish and chips should be in batter only.

PS. It is even hard to find good fish and chips in UK nowadays.

The Golden Hind in London. Outstanding!

If you’re willing to drive just a bit, especially if you are south of 44 - check out Clermont Fish House - British-style Fish ‘n Chips

It's amazing that not one person commented on what type of fish is being served. Haddock, Cod, Tilapia, Swai or whatever.

Type of fish can make a big difference.

FACT CHECK: TRUE

Only Cod. . the others just aren't meaty enough for frying. .
and then drizzled with a touch of lemon or lime. .

So we scored tickets to the Open next summer in Troon, for the final day. We are entering the St Andrews drawing for guaranteed golf during the same time and I, as an expert fish and chips taster, will evaluate Scottish Fish and chips from the North sea. . and will report back to everyone who couldn't care less.

Ask 10 Scotts their opinion on beat fish and chips and let us know how many of the answers you understood. Par is 3 of 10.

I am having a hankering for some great fish and chips, anyone know the best place to go? I prefer plain batter (not beer batter), freshly cut fries, and a mug of great beer to chug it down. Your suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I'm at the point where I make my own. So good and easy to make.

If you want sausage rolls you need British sausage meat. Try jollyposhfoods.com for real sausages. He's from the UK, she's from Chicago.

Try their links with frozen puff pastry, you have real English sausage rolls. I make them all the time for my family.

Mushy Peas are a standard side in the North of England and are served with fish and chips in the chip shops. Personally, I think they are disgusting, but if you are from the North of England you would love them. Google a recipe for them.

By the way, the very best Cod and Chips we ever had was in Whitby, Yorkshire in the Mag Pie. Fish sold right off the dock.

How about it Two Bills, fish and chips in Whitby?
