The great story out of this was my supervisor, a crusty old Master Sgt. He was in the 1st shirt's office with me when I received my punishment. The shirt told he that he was making him personally responsible for my behavior over the next month. That weekend, MSgt C. got into a fight with a Chief at the NCO Club and shoved his head under the brass foot rail at the bar. Civil Engineers had to come cut the Chief free. My exploits faded into a black hole of forgottenness. Back then, promotions were decided at base level, and less than a year later, the First Sergeant personally advocated for and got me my next stripe and I was on my way to a well behaved and successful career.

Wow you got off basically with a slap on the wrist, but bottom line you learned a lesson...with my recommendation you would have been sore every day for 6 months.

Good Going,........ :beer3:

Just try to find a place that uses fresh mozzarella, fresh tomato sauce, and bakes it in a wood-burning oven, and you will be ok. If you see a "Frozen Pizza" delivery truck in front of any restaurant, don't go there.

The first time I ever tasted pizza was in London when the USAF stationed me in England.

And for the longest time in his youth, my husband thought it was "Oh what fun it is to ride in a one whore soap and slay." Although he didn't know what a whore was.

Best Pizza

We recently moved here from 40 years in New York and definitely agree that there's NOTHING here that will come close to the pizza you can get at most neighborhood pizza joints in NY, be it in the City or upstate! That said, we've tried Belleview (not bad), Big Bob's (ok) and Stavros (not even close), but the consistent winner has been NYPD. Upon request, they will make it extra thick, which is how we like it. They definitely have the best crust we've found here.

I agree about NYPD Pizza, and I'm from California (along time ago when it was sane).

I have found there is a big difference when you have pizza delivered and when you are at a place of business and the pizza comes out of the oven. Usually when it's delivered, it's a little rubbery.

I can't say which place I like best because I am not a picky eater.

It's all in the "pie" of the beholder.

We often get NYPD pizza. I would love to get to NYC and try some of the stuff they are talking about on this thread.

Flippers ! We have ordered there several times always good.
My husband bought a large pizza 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 roasted artichoke heart at SS the other night. Found a bench all to ourselves had our wine and listened to a pretty good band as the sun went down. All in All a pleasant night and the pizza wasn't bad either :)

I have had Chicago pizza. It's fairly good. Chicago's best pizzas of 2016 - Chicago Tribune

Chicago pizza is not a pizza its a casserole

Stavros, Fruitland Park & Sammy Joes up near Mulberry Rec Center have good pie. We are not from the north anymore. The trade off is worth it. I can't believe I said that and meant it. :cryin2:
