In my not so humble opinion, Hacienda Hills Country Club has the best Sunday buffet in The Villages.

It is $11.95 and runs from 10 until 1. Excellent choices of food. There is a pancake bar where you can have custom made pancakes; omelette bar with around 15 choices of fillings; carving station with ham and steamship round of beef; breakfast items such as sausages, eggs Benedict, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, pastries, and breakfast potatoes. You can go back for as much as you want.

The Bloody Mary's are $3.50.

There is a wonderful singer for background music.

It is a fair trek from the land beyond 466A but then, they always have Bonifay.

Totally agree. The best deal in The Villages. Singer is great also. I've also found the lunch deals to be excellent, and the Tuesday night German/Hungarian night is also good.

Bonefish on 466 now serves Sunday Brunch from 11am till 2pm.

Not a buffet but great selections of breakfast treats like Eggs Benedict, Fresh Spinich and Mushroom Benedict, both under $10. and a Special of petite filet Mignon with lobster tail benedict for $13.95.

If you want to splurge, order any of their brunch items and get unlimited mimosas for $19.99.

Great food and great service.

SERVE WITH PLATTER OF CUT UP TROPICAL FRUITS

If your guests are meat lovers, serve with pork sausage links........Jimmy Deans or your favorite.

FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE:

Prep: 10 minutes
CHILL: 1 HOUR or overnight
Bake: 50 minutes

Serves: 8
Tempting cinnamon bread is soaked in a custard overnight, ready to be baked for a perfect brunch dish.
ingredients

1 loaf (16 ounces) Pepperidge FarmŽ Cinnamon Swirl Bread, cut into cubes (about 8 cups)
6 eggs
3 cups milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Confectioners' sugar
Maple-flavored syrup (optional) or preferably VERMONT MAPLE SYRUP

directions

Place the bread cubes into a greased 3-quart shallow baking dish. Beat the eggs, milk and vanilla extract in a medium bowl with a fork or whisk. Pour the milk mixture over the bread cubes. Stir and press the bread cubes into the milk mixture to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.

Heat the oven to 350°F. Uncover the baking dish.

Bake for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Sprinkle with the confectioners' sugar. Serve with the syrup, if desired.

Tip: This recipe will work with any of the Pepperidge FarmŽ Swirl Breads (Cinnamon, Raisin Cinnamon or Brown Sugar Cinnamon)

We like Katie Belles for breakfast but this weekend I am going to try your recipe. Sounds yummy! Thanks!

I have never been to Bonefish for Sunday Brunch but do like Bonefish very much.

I am unclear about the mimosas. Is that unlimited mimosas for $19.99 just for the drinks or is it the unlimited mimosas with any brunch item for $19.99 as the combined price? All the mimosas you can drink for $20 is kind of high. Most people would not do more than 4. Any of the restaurants do not charge more than $5 per mimosa.

We used to love Orange Blossom! But won't be back sine the last owner lost his lease (from what we heard a friends of the developers wanted it so....... Anyway my first choice it my husbands breakfast. He makes a mean breakfast, fluffiest pancakes, perfect eggs, awesome sausage gravy and biscuits, nice crisp bacon... I have no reason to go out :)
