Default Best Tacos

Who can recommend a good place to order tacos? I like tacos that you can hold in your hand and put on as much taco sauce as you want. I ordered the signature tacos at RJ Gators and asked for taco sauce. They don't have any taco sauce and I have found that to be true at a lot of so called Mexican restaurants. In northern Virginia, they had Tippy's Taco House. So far, the best tacos I have found in The Villages are at Taco Bell. Seriously!

What's your definition of taco sauce? When ordering tacos at any of the areas Mexican restaurants, I ask for more salsa and top the taco with it. Is this not the same?

I like the soft tacos at Taco Bell as well, especially with the sauce in the packets. Since we live in the southern area we also love going to Fiesta Grande at Colony. We ate there just yesterday, I wouldn't go today, Saturday they are usually packed and you can't order the lunch specials.

On a weekday, I get the lunch steak fajitas. It's just like a taco that you make yourself, you get 3 soft shells and steak, pepers and onions sizzling on a metal server right at your table. The price has gone up 3 times in the past year, I guess because it such a good seller. Also on the plate with the pico and lettuce is rice and refried beans. I think the lunch special is now $9.80. I haven't eaten at the new Habaneros at Southern Trace because of the negative reviews on this site, plus their menu lists the fajitas at $12.

At Fiesta Grande you can also get regular tacos already built. The lunch special is $7.25 for one taco and rice. Instead, order it ala carte and they're only $2.50 a piece and rice is $2.65. The only sauce you have is a bottle of hot sauce on the table. However when you sit down, you're instantly given free chips and salsa. Save some of the sauce and put it on the tacos, it's really good.

They are on the right end of the Colony Shopping Center looking at the Publix in the middle.

Prima Market Taqueria in Belleview - an old scool taqueria serving authentic tacos. And you can get a cold Corona also. The taco lengua is the best I've ever had.

No. There is salsa, hot sauce, and taco sauce. They are three different things. Taco Bell has taco sauce in packages. You can also buy taco sauce in the grocery store in a jar. But, many restaurants that serve tacos do not have taco sauce.
