I love pizza and originally come from the Utica, NY area, which has some of the best pizza restaurants in the world, due to it's large Italian-American population. I have been mostly disappointed in the pizza here, but find that Flippers is edible, if not great. The pizza at Francesco's in Summerfield is very good, but it's just too far to drive for take-out. When we go there for dinner I generally get the Bronx Bomber pizza and a bowl of Italian Wedding Soup. I'm getting hungry thinking about it. Mallory is OK, and I've heard from several people that NYPD is the best in The Villages, but I haven't tried it yet. I just can't do Papa Johns or any other large pizza chain.

My wife and I also like Francesco's. They have a daily 2 for 1 take out deal for pizza and pasta. You can also mix and match.

Agree. Individually made. Good sauce and toppings.

I also like Bravo, but it’s apples and oranges.

I remember Mama giving each of us kids $.25 with which we bought a slice and a coke for lunch.

Nuns at my grammar school sold it (only it) once every two weeks or so. It was great stuff.

I miss Caserta's SOOOOO MUCH! They said they could ship it down here, but, it's not the same.

Those were the days....
For 10 cents I'd get
1. A grape Nehi
2. A Waleco coconut candy bar
3. A small bad of potato chips

Sammy Jo's, in Mulberry, near the Publix has great pizza. We've never been disappointed. 352-633-1949

Where i came from didnt go to a “country club” or EyeTalian restaurant for pizza...you went to a pizzeria...and Dominos and Pizza Hut are not pizzerias.

Shame 90% of Villages never had a good authentic pizza in their lives.

Being from NJ, I have not found anything close to "back home" pizza here or near The Villages. Been searching for over four years now. Closest I have found is Bravo's in Sumter Landing! Thin crust...well done, Please!
