Publix and W-D are closed today. Fresh Market is open until 3 pm.

The goal was to avoid a setting where lots of people are standing around.

Cant realistically live without help from others.
 

Did you grow you own food? Raise and slaughter your meats? Go to a grocery store (which is a major part of the food chain)? Go to a restaurant? You thesis is poorly conceived. A civilization requires working with others and being dependent upon others. The alternative you state is to be hunter - gatherers. No one was asking for big government. My hope was that BE might get some feedback on their poor service and I was warning others of this bad experience.

Nope, I am still pursuing Door Dash but BE contracted with them.
 

Since I can't get in touch with BE, and I did with Door Dash, I do indeed only have one party. But since BE contracted with Door Dash, I still have to contact BE to let them know the issue. If BE sees a drop in business and an increase in complaints they might work to improve upon their service. I doubt my post would cause the collapse of BE in the Villages.

Seems on days this busy they should institute an email or internet messaging ! Or at least have a call back on their phone. To order a holiday dinner and then have to make your own mashed potatoes and "gravy" (like gravy in a jar from the store ? don't think so !) How disappointing, but I suppose always possible a mistake is made in any business. Perhaps they will give you a some extras (IF you ever order again) like a pie, some side dishes, 50% Christmas dinner..... something ?

First world problems!
We are spending our day helping to deliver food to shut-ins and those who wouldn’t normally have a Thanksgiving dinner.

In the big scheme of things. If that’s the worst issue you’re facing today.

So ya can’t reach them by phone. Do you live so far away that you can’t take a short drive to them and ask for the rest of your order? Their more than likely very busy today and don’t have enough staff to answer phones.

As I posted earlier, I had to wait a bit for my pickup at BE, but it was all there, very good, and in large portions. :mmmm: :)

This thread has really jumped the shark first for such a ridiculous whine that had to be put in front of a forum and second for all those on the holiday who responded including me . This thread deserved no answers ,because it’s so unbelievable I’m thinking it’s a joke on us , although it’s nice to know that the sausages and gravy aren’t as good , I didn’t eat it before so I’ll make sure I don’t eat it now .

I preordered two turkey dinners yesterday for a 5pm pickup. When I got to Bob Evans, Colony, there were at least 50 people waiting. The lines were long to check in and after over an hour wait, I was told some people were there one and a half hours. I canceled the order, went to Havana, picked up to turkey dinners (which were delicious) in 10 minutes. When I spoke to the Bob Evans manager this morning and asked why he was not prepared or why not cut off the order after a certain number , he said he has no control over the number of online orders. What a poor system. Thank you Havana for bailing me out.
