Not Impressed. I asked the guy cooking omlets if he had Egg Beaters and he couldn't understand english. The buffet was very limited, but got to say the potatoes were excellent if you like garlic which I do. $5.99 for breakfast + $1.99 for coffee puts the cost near $8.00. Quite higher than Katie Bells, Athens, and Sonrise Cafe, our favorites inside The Villages.

Do You Tip the Omelette Chef?

Great omelettes (he certainly does speak and understand English) and breakfast buffet. We do not have comperable breakfast restaurants in the South except for Havana (which few bother to patronize).

I agree we need breakfast places in the South. I disagree about understanding english. I asked him for Egg Beaters and he said "OK" then scooped out the same eggs that everyone else got out of the pot to make my omlet.
I'm hoping Brownwood will have several breakfast restaurants. Spanish Springs has several, and LSL has only Two Jays and Johnny Rockets if you want eggs, potatoes, etc.

Eggs at Bonifay

Went to Bonifay for breakfast this morning and stood on the omlette line waiting to order 2 fried eggs as I did 2 weeks ago (not fond of scrambled).
No longer allowed to cook fried eggs.
Why I asked the manager?
Too many people were ordering them. ??

Amazing. What it probably is, is that when they make omlets they scope out the liquid eggs that they probably buy in gallons cheap. Your fried eggs made them crack individual eggs that cost them more.

Tried the breakfast buffet today and enjoyed it. The best grits I've had since we left Georgia.

I have been to Bonifay for the breakfast buffet a number of times and have enjoyed it every time. A delicious made to order omelette, biscuits and gravy, and cheesy grits which are outstanding!!! Then, to ease my conscience, I have some fresh strawberry's and honeydew melon. Total with coffee and tax comes to $8.50. I usually eat outside and just love the view of the practice putting green and the rest of the course.

Can you order from menu?

I'm serving at Bonifay and yes, its $5.99 only. Breakfast is served 7:30 to 11 and is excellent. Of course the service (me, lol) is great too :-)

Any restaurant that offers a good value will draw more customers. Any buffet with more than one person presents the possibility of standing in line. Wife and I went to Bonifay for their breakfast buffet (arrived only half hour before they shut down the buffet) with low expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. The buffet offerings were great, the food was hot, and there were few people in line. They earned good marks from our visit!

even though they raised the price to 6.99 it is still the best breakfast around. and what a pleasant atmosphere on the porch overlooking the golf course.

That's $6.99 plus $2.00 for coffee. That's double what you pay at Katie Bells and Athens.

Yes, and we were happy with it. Made to order omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, biscuits, grits, and fresh fruit. No waffles or pancakes, but food was hot. Good for the $5.99 price, plus $1.99 for coffee.

9.00 for breakfast ? and this is suppose to be a deal ? :icon_bored:
