Re: Broasted Chicken
Great broasted chicken in SE Michigan. Broasting requires a special pressure cooker. Basically in involves deep frying under pressure. Chicken is usually very crispy and juicy.

Re: Broasted Chicken
Hey Benj ~ Three Brothers on Joy Road in Plymouth, MI. Ummmmmmmmm. We used to go there all the time! Best broasted chicken around! And then there were pierogis, and by far, the bestest kielbasi around. Of course, the kielbasi came from Dearborn Sausage. Did you know you can order it online? Pretty pricey, but someday when the urge strikes........ Anyway, thanks for bringing back such great memories! wav

BROASTED CHICKEN! Damn...I haven't that one for years. We used to get it in Lake George, NY back in the 60's..just passed through there and tried to find the place where we used to go but no luck....Broasted chicken was always THE BEST....I'd love to find it again!

Still no Broasted Chicken ?
We have a restaurant just outside town that serves the best broasted chicken and is almost worth staying the winter for!!! Just had lunch thee today and it is still the best ever. Now if we could get it near TV that would be such a treat. It's a shame that there isn't a home appliance that can broast a chicken. Nothing else like it.

In the mid-1970s my family used to get broasted chicken every Sunday after church at Mr. Chicken in Bowie, Maryland, 10 miles from Annapolis.
After Mr. Chicken died his family tried to keep the business going but they were unsuccessful. Haven't had any since. Would love to have some. |

Store Locator Search Results Two locations are service stations and one is a hospital, all of which I found strange. I did another zip code search for the Tampa area and found more service stations and another hospital. It's late, so I'm not making any phone calls; perhaps someone can do it tomorrow and report back. I'm very busy in physical therapy tomorrow. If you do a browser search and locate Danny's Broasted Chicken in Lake Mary, disregard it. They are closed. |

I think that this is what McCalls at the bowling alley in Spanish Springs does with their chicken. I am a big fan of fried chicken and the chicken at McCalls is the best I have ever had other than my grandmothers. It is called "fried" but I think it is "broasted" or pressure fried. No matter what they call it - I call it great!
