How Safe Are Food Trucks? You May Be Surprised

Quote:
In fact, studies show that health code violations in food trucks are far less significant than in their brick and mortar competitors.

There are approximately 8 violations in food trucks in major cities compared to 17 in their restaurants contenders.

Facts matter.

We’re all going to die sometime; might as well be after a meal of fine bbq. 😄😄

I for one , would never eat at any place that doesn't have running fresh potable water--for food safety

They probably have some water tanks in these food trucks. And the area to be cleaned would be less than some of the bigger fixed locations.

If they did cause illnesses I would expect they would be closed very quickly.

Default Great BBQ

I have eaten there on multiple occasions as well as buying a slab of ribs to take home.
the owners are very nice people and it appears to be very clean it’s your typical barbecue set up with good food give them a try you’ll be glad you did

My one (and only) experience was not so great. We arrived fairly late and he was out of almost everything. He had some burnt tips left, and they looked good. He started out saying there is about 1lb left, you can have them for $15. As I pulled out a $20, he weighed it and said it's a little over 1lb, so that'll be $20. My wife really wanted to try them so I went ahead... then find out there are no sides left at all, so it's meat only. 1 styrofoam cup of burnt tips for $20? I really felt like I got ripped off. I know, my fault, should have said no, but by that time I had the cup in my hand and he had the $20 in his... and we did want to try his product. I would have thought that since this was the ONLY thing he had left, he would have made a deal... instead he overcharges us and lost a future customer.

As far as the burnt tips - they were pretty good, but not the best I have had... I still like Oakwood better - and there I get a whole slab for $13.95 with two sides. Certainly not worth what I ended up paying.
