When we were house hunting in 2011, Lighthouse had the most delightful (and totally unhealthy but who cares, not a daily thing for us) fried egg sandwich with cheese and bacon and tomatoes. OMG was it good.

Then it disappeared from the menu, so my next go-to was the shrimp & grits. I'm disappointed that will only be on the menu once a week, but there is still Harry's S&G in Ocala.

The only things I don't like about Lighthouse (I'm not a beer drinker, so the lack of tap doesn't bother me): the noise level and the fact that the chair arms are curved so you can't hang your purse off of them. (I could do a whole thread on places I have left my purse.)

I don't think I am making this up but didn't they frequently have music and is it true that it could be anything from opera to mariachi?

Not that I remember, but we are relative newbies.

I recall one magical evening when we were dining with friends outside at sunset. Bobby Blackmon was playing and singing jazz. However, that was several years ago and I do not recall musicians in recent years.

I feel like I rented for while and before I bought they were gone. The Lighthouse and the Church on the Square were 2 inexpensive places to see something different.
