I donate blood (4X per year) then walk over to Koyame. My favorite here, so far.

But doesn't it make you feel like donating more blood...a few hours later?

Where I lived, the "chinese" food was different than it is here, and was also different in other parts of the country I've had it. To this day I still send for chow mein noodles from back home because that's what I was brought up eating, and that is the only place they are made (Fall River, Ma). Just because it's not like back home doesn't make it awful. The "chinese" food in the states is regional because the majority of it has been Americanized. It's like pizza, everyone else's is horrible, but mine is the best, and there isn't a good one here. By the way, the best chinese meal I've ever had was in The Netherlands.

You can’t beat Bay Ridge Restaurants.

Tried Koyame and it was horrible. But it all depends on where you are used to getting Chinese food.

More authentic NY style is @ Yummy House (a chain) the nearest being located in Ocala. Look them up on the web. Reminder, the soup should be ordered in Half portion which is enough for two.
