Meza Luna has an excellent prime rib...not what you would expect from an Italian joint, right? (It is not a listed menu item, so call first, but we have always found it available). Check them out in the Colony Plaza.

A number of the country clubs have a prime rib night, where it is the featured entree. Don't be fooled. Its ok, but I don't believe they have the special ovens to roast it properly.

The best prime rib I have had recently has been at Oscar Penn in Inverness. Its only available Friday and Saturday. The owner smokes it himself on grills outside the restaurant. Reservations are essential.

Another good place is at the Fisherman's restaurant on hwy 44, going toward Inverness. Only available on Thursday nights. You have to call and reserve your meat (reg or large cut) in advance. He only prepares enough to satisfy the pre-orders.

Surprisingly, Mark's House of Prime in Ocala does not serve prime rib.

We like the prime rib at Codys Brownwood. The 16 ounce is the best. Codys Sumter Landing isnt seasoned like Brownwood, for some reason.

I have no idea where to get great prime rib anywhere in this area. However, this thread reminded of great prime rib I’ve had in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Anyone remember Durgin Park in Boston, how about Captain PJ’s in Somerest Ma ? I can’t leave out Archie’s Tavern in Pawtucket, RI ( sadly all 3 are now closed)………but there’s still Twin Oaks in Cranston, Rhode Island that serves great prime rib on Sundays. Every time we are north for the summer Twin Oaks is on our list of places to get great food. This was the prime rib I ordered at Twin Oaks this past summer.

Default Make it at home

The best prime rib I ever had was at a key club I belong to that no longer exist, the second best I made at home.

Went to Publix's got prime meat and went onto the following site:

Perfect Prime Rib - Easiest Prime Rib Recipe Ever! - Formally Know as "Method X" - YouTube

It's so easy, impressive, delicious and you'll be proud you did it on your own.

I have eaten at most of the ones you mentioned. Archie’s Tavern was the best ever.
