Default Cody's Brownwood Closed By Health Inspectors

WOW, Major violations, many live roaches. When answering the phone, they say they hope to be open on Wednesday for lunch.

They need to replace the manager(s) and educate the staff.

Sure sign the management/owners are not paying attention to the details required to run a safe business.
Being handed a list of violations, then scurrying around to make the list right/go away is a cop out. If they were not doing the right procedures before what makes anybody think they will miraculously start after the list is completed.
They are running on the if I don't get caught or sighted I must be OK.

What will cure them is to not go there and contact the owners.

They are off our list.

They should be mandated to close for 72 hours. Seems they don’t take it seriously when allowed to open the next day. Just cleaning up doesn’t solve the poor management issue. Don’t know if a fine is involved but there certainly should be.

Stories like this don't make the Daily Sun.

Like the person said on 'the other site,' this is why we also prefer to eat at home.

We have been Codys customers from their first day at LSL. This report caught us by surprise. It's not just the restaurant and shift managers that need called on the carpet. Codys operating partner (John) spends alot of time at the Brownwood store as does Dean, the area manager for all Codys that John and partner (s) own. I have to wonder what the heck they do while there.
The conditions found are serious and inexcusable. Villagers have gone overboard in their support of all 3 Codys. I think this has been a major breach of trust by Codys towards their customers. This is not one or two roaches, one unlabeled food pan, and a purse and/or cell phone laid in the wrong place. I have almost $300 left in gift cards we purchased in October. I would say over time I'll use them for draft beer. But, are the beer taps clean??? A loyal customer has to wonder.

Not to worry. They’ll do a quick clean, run a special and people will go back

That's going to take more than a couple of days to fix. Some of the equipment has to be completely replaced, and the floor has to be retiled.

There are companies that specialize in this type of cleanup and repair. They can do it overnight. All it takes is money.

Keep in mind that if a restaurant in Florida does not have live cockroaches they are using enough poison to give cancer to all the employees and others within 200 Yards.
