Don’t worry about cockroaches, read this link and be worried about real food concerns.

After reading the Inspection Report, it makes you wonder how they passed previous inspections. Quite a few of the remarks would appear to be long standing.

I once mentioned to the employees at the LSL location, that the place smells like dirty mop water. It was strong the one time we sat near the kitchen, and if we sit at the bar. I worked enough restaurants in the past to recognize the smell! They looked worried when I said that; hopefully it got back to the manager or remedied. If they can't be bothered to change the mop water, what else are they lax on? I don't eat there very often.

Maybe they need to be WOMANdated since MANdated failed. Obvious to me for many years that CLEAN means something different to me and the other person occupying my abode. I get schooled daily.

Isn't that the truth..... Eye opening and very disappointed in both Cody's management and the inspection process. Don

I haven't been LSL for over a year. The bathroom was terrible. Peanuts all over the floor that has to attract all kinds of things.

Yuck
We WERE frequent patrons of Brownwood Cody’s for fajita night. I must say, the inspection is alarming and shame on the manager/employees for not keeping a clean environment for their customers. It’s nauseating to think how many times we’ve eaten there. Needless to say, we will be making our own fajitas tonight at home and will not be eating at Cody’s any longer.
In North Carolina, when the eatery is inspected, the inspection grade is posted at the door for all patrons to see. So, they had insentive to “make the grade” because it was visible for all to see. It if didn’t meet your standards, you walk out. At least you knew how clean the restaurant was before you ate there. The ones we ate at had high marks. That’s the way it should be all over. Post the inspection grade for all to see so that we can make our decision if we want to eat there or not. |

Thankfully, the food and service convinced us to quit going to Cody's a couple of years ago.

Not really. 5 Guys usually has peanut shells covering the floor throughout the busy time of day, and their shop and the floors are all otherwise very clean and sanitary. Peanut shells don't attract bugs unless they're left there to rot for a few weeks.

A plus for the establishment is with peanut shells on the floor they do not have to sweep/mop to keep clean.
And for an establishment that fails sanitary inspection it is to their advantage to have dirty floors that are "allowed". |

I was there with some folks on Sunday, one of the orders was incorrect and had to be redone, the manager brought it out and apologized. He stated that he was sent in from another location to get that location up to speed. Was it true not sure, but we wont be back anytime soon.

Now I know why I haven't been back there for almost a year. YUCK, inexcusable with the money they make at their three establishments within TV that they can't maintain a clean shop, just cheap and lazy staff and owners.
