You have to take it for what it is. IT is not a fine dining establishment. It's a roadhouse and bar with a lot of fried food. We have had both good and horrible meals there. Again, I think you have to take it for what it and not have very high expectations.

I like Codie’s a lot. A lot of things can make you ill in the finest restaurants in the world.

It is reasonable to expect they observe the basics of a clean and healthy food preparation and service....which they are not and have not done so.....no excuse(s) for an unclean food environment.

With their track record they are off our list.

I got “sick as a dog” a few weeks back right after eating a Subway Club sandwich. Was it their fault? I don’t know but I haven’t been back to one since then. I was puny for about a week.

Cody’s is my favorite restaurant in The Villages. Might eat at another one for awhile but I have yet to find a place I like better.

"right after eating..." Means you had something already brewing not related to that food. I understand your reluctance to go back BUT it takes anywhere from 12-24 hours for food born illness to manifest itself. Too many times an establishment is blamed for something not in their control. Now with Cody's case, totally in their control and they should stay shut down until thorough retraining and cleaning has been accomplished.

Yeah, I know, that's why I didn't call Subway and raise hell about it. One of my co-workers had just got back from a vacation and was sick so that's probably where I got it. Haven't been sick like that for a looooooong time and hope not to be again.

We ate at Cody's Brownwood a few weeks earlier and the food was good.

Understand that the 3 Villages Cody's are being bought back by Corporate. Interesting if true. Sumter could use a good overall inside.
