Exclamation Cody's Sumter Labor Day promotion

Ok, I am not a teetotaler by any means, but I went here under the guise if a Labor Day promotion of $1.00 bar burgers if you order two adult beverages. Ok at first blush, but two adult beverages is really four beverages, since all you can get is happy hour deals of two drinks for the price of one. Which means that to get the burger promotion, you needed to order and/or consume four adult beverages. It is either misleading bait and switch because you had to pay full price for bar burgers unless you ordered let's say 4 beers, or you wasted drinks or got wasted consuming 4 beers to be able to get the promo price. Not the smartest management decision. Managers, upon discussing this, took the fifth and stated that corporate sets the rules and they blindly followed.

Is it possible you misunderstood? The person next to me ordered the two for one drinks and got the Burger.

Default Too Happy!

A friend of mine opened a bar in Leesburg and offered drinks for 25 cents. He noticed that a couple had been sitting at the end of the bar for 2 hours without ordering. He inquired as to the fact that they had not been served as yet. They said no problem they were waiting for Happy Hour. I wonder if they came from The Villages?

I understood, that to get the burger for $1.00 you had to order two drinks, which was in reality four drinks due to happy hour two for one. That was my point. How many people can safely and responsibly drink four drinks and drive home???

You could have split a beer, which would have been one each. Then order the next round split, along with your discount bar burgers. There would have been no reason to drink four beers just to save a $1.58 per burger.

I think their 2 for 1 domestic draft is $4.99. So $2.50 a beer is pretty average for The Villages. If someone is alone and wanting to get the $1.00 deal, maybe they should by beer by the bottle that is not 2 for 1.
