Dunkin Donuts in Spanish Springs
1 Attachment(s)
A donut at Dunkin Donuts in Spanish Springs is $.89.
A fancy donut, such as a "Coffee Roll," is $1.49 |
We own a small business. Remember when you think the price is too high please remember:
1. The owners work 6-7 days a week morning till night. 2. Rent is very high. 3. Every time we bring someone in to look at a piece of equipment that has broken down start the figure at $500. plus $$$$ 4. Food and supplies. $$$$ I could go on and on. This is not a complaint. We love our business and would do it all over again, really we would but that's why prices may seem high to someone. And.....folks want $15.00 per hour minimum wages ?? That donut will be lots higher. Something has to give somewhere. |

Remember the old saying (Bet you a dollar to a dozen donuts) or maybe not
|
The two donuts I purchased were a twisted glaze donut and a cream stick-If they were a "fancy donut" they were in the case with the regular donuts and not marked as "fancy or specialty donut."

In 1963 I ran a small donut shop and sold a dozen donuts for 75¢. And I remember people complaining how high the cost was then, especially those that picked up a dozen on their way to work. 10¢ for coffee and a donut at the counter. Of course $100 in sales was a good day.

I just bought 2 donuts at Walmart the other day and I think they were 55 cents apiece. They were really good too.

I love donuts so I go to walmart and they have a rack of bakery items that are going to expire the next day. Usually comes out to .25 cents a donut. Five seconds in the micro and you won't tell the difference. Bakery has a huge mark-up, they make 85% profit and that includes ingrediants, labor, and all other expenses. Publix use to make from scratch but now they come almost ready to serve and they stick them in the oven for a few minutes.
