Default Wonderful!

The cheese grits there are wonderful! Vetman even loved them and he doesn't like cheese or grits!!!! Go figure!

Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but you should have reservations. There are not that many tables and I've seen them turn people away.

Default Dont forget to make Reservations..

We went just a couple weeks ago, food was great. Very small place so make sure you call ahead just in case. I guess you can walk in and take a chance...I don't know but the couple we went with advised reservations so we did.
Save room for a desert...Oh yeah!!!

We tried this restaurant today and got right in, but it was after 2:00 pm.
The grits were the best I have ever had. The fried shrimp was pretty good.
But, the cakes are the best. My husband & I shared hummingbird cake - it was great. I came home and looked up the recipie which I will store with all the other recipes I am going to make some day. We will definitely go there again. We did get the only open table at 2:00 pm. Portions are large - I noticed most people had take out boxes with them when leaving. It is definitely not low calorie, but kind of a special place.

Went there for lunch yesterday. Had shrimp salad on a flaky croissant and sweet potato fries. And based on previous recommendation saved room for dessert. Key Lime cake, yes cake, to die for. Will definitely go back. On my favorites list now.

We stopped by accident one evening. When I walked through the door I thought that I had gone back in time. What a lovely place. The service was first rate and the food was home made. Great place.

Default Have To Wait For Report

Duh! The place is only open for evening meals Wed-Sat. Went to Longhorn instead. Flo's fillet. Good as usual. Another excuse to go out to eat. As if I need one.

Default Was There Tonight

Got there at 6 PM with 3 other people inside. Ordered Fried & Baked Chicken. Mrs had baked with mac/cheese. I had mashed taters and green beans. The mac'n cheese had a peculiar taste. Potatoes with gravy good, both chicken meals were good. I think the chicken was a flattened breast. All white meat anyway. Got yellow cake with coconut icing to go. 2 house salads were delicious. I don't like salad. 2 cokes for bev and fried green tomatoes for starter. Forgot about them. They were OK. Over all food was just OK. Nothing to rave about. Bill was $49 and change. Service was great.

Will we go back? Yeah but no time soon. Got too many country clubs in TV that we haven't tried.
