Which is fine...as I can live with that.

I rarely venture into religious discussion (and this stupid laptop I'm having to use because mine broke won't let me bold your first statement) but I just want to point out that this is how Jesus taught people to pray--anonymously, in a room, by yourself. Mathew 6:5-8. (I remember it, but I had to look up chapter/verse.)

I've often wondered why we help others, or pray, give, not steal... having to do with your second statement. I'm hoping that there is a connection between the two somehow. Maybe most of us are born decent and good. There's debate about that too.

I wish I had something profound to say about it all. I hope the good prevails in the majority of us.

You know, I do a lot of it in anonymity, but recently there have been some privileged/entitled on here that have decided to bash Police Officers (the ones I try to do the most for), so my belief for my posting about paying for the meal for the 3 EMT's/Paramedics is that maybe, just maybe, someone will make a kind gesture, if they are financially able, and occasionally buy a meal for these public servants.

Everyone we've done this for has always been extremely appreciative.

The other night in the drive through, I ordered a Schaumburger, and got a puzzled what?...Oh I'm sorry, my mistake,.. Butter burger., and curds please (whatever they are?)...

OK just went to Culvers for the first time to try the frozen custard. OMG it was just as delicious as everyone has said it was and I am completely hooked. We will now have to go back and try the butterburgers. They even have gluten free buns for hubby.

Oh, did I mention we also bought supper for 3 Paramedics/EMT’s; we do it every chance we get for those in public service that put their lives on the line.

Bless you for your kindness to those in public service. :mademyday:

Went to Culver’s last night. The place was crowded, but they seemed to be doing a good job of getting the food out in acceptable time frames. Our order was a little wrong as we specified no cheese and it came with. Frozen custard was great. Not a big fan of crinkle fries, but they were OK.

We’ll be back to try the fish and other offerings later, when the newness wears off.

LOL. There are two Culvers in Schaumburg, IL (the suburb I live in).

I stopped for lunch today at the Culvers in Winnebago, IL (near Rockford) on the way to my Dad's house. I had the chili supreme - first time trying that. It was pretty good.

Have been twice now and the food is fine, but what I love, is the attention to customer satisfaction. Everyone who works there is smiling. Everyone is anxious to help you. My kind of place!

I’ve never visited a Culvers, but it appears to have something for everyone.
