Default Eaton’s Beach Excellent Lunch

My friend and I braved the torrential rain, and Christmas traffic today, and went to Eaton’s Beach for lunch. Having spent 5 long months wearing a cumbersome orthopedic boot, it felt wonderful to be able to easily navigate through crowded tables in the restaurant, now the boot is history. Our lunch started with delicious seafood chowder (a meal by itself). I opted for the lightly fried oyster platter, and my friend chose baked redfish on rice, topped with a drizzle of creamed sauce and tiny crawfish. Absolutely delicious. Despite the weather, the restaurant was busy, and cheerful wait staff added to our enjoyment. I bought half my oyster platter home for my husband to enjoy. That chowder was very filling. I highly recommend Eaton’s Beach restaurant especially if you have visitors from up north.

Yes, the quite extensive menu offers a variety of other foods. I didn’t bother reading past “oysters”!!

One of the better places to eat. We always have a nice time at Eaton's and so far have been lucky with a great parking spot.

I forget the other restaurant across the lake not too shabby either.

We took our son and his family there when they were here couple of months ago and the was really great. My wife and I went there earlier in the year with a former LEO colleague and his family and the food was great then also.

We may take a ride over there the next couple of days.

We've liked Eaton's Beach each time we've gone there. Across the lake is Gator Joes. Also good.

Last time we ate there the food was great.. service was wonderful but I could not figure out what the smell was.. finally realized it was the girl serving us.. she was absolutely drenched in perfume and not a good smelling one... I was going to mention it to a manager but decided to let it go.. I regret that I didn't because I am still thinking about it 2 weeks later...
