Evans Prairie restaurant
We had dinner at Evans Prairie Wednesday. There were 8 of us. The staff was great. I wish I could say the same for the food. The seasonal vegetables served with our dinners were either canned or frozen and limp and soggy. The entrees were not impressive either. Very disappointed.

Gone down hill
We agree. The food is over priced for what you get. The price you pay for an entree...no salad or bread is too high. When we moved here 5 years ago it was a great place to eat but not so much any more. The menu choices have also been decreased.

Food establishments with a problem do not address the issues causing the problem.
Instead as business dwindles, they cut back and problems beget problems. It is a shame that so many restaurants in TV, many of the CC included, settle for mediocrity. The secret to success in the food business is no mystery. |

As a general rule you get what you pay for in a restaurant or just about anywhere else. Don't we all want a great meal and service for $10? I'm afraid those days have quietly slipped away. I've been to the Country Clubs many times over the last 10 years and most of the time had a "decent" meal for,a reasonable price. With all due respect, Perhaps we have set the bar a bit too high.

I wonder if anyone in the group bothered to write a letter to the owner of this place.

I sometimes wonder whether the TV restaurants take for granted that their customers will always be there because they have in essence, a captive clientele. It is too bad there isn't more and better competition. |

Evans Prairie and the other restaurants of the same group--by there ingredients from Gordon Food Services--this company provides different levels of food for all types of institutional customers--prisons, schools, hospitals , etc
All you are really getting is boil in the bag and microwave items--especially veggies--the kitchens in the Evans Prairie and it sisters are too small to cook from scratch or to order--got this info from a former employee |
