I could go for 10 or 15 belly bombs right now.

You could always try the southern version of White Castle, Krystal. Their little, square burgers come with mustard instead of catsup. I prefer my sliders with catsup, but you might like it.

IMHO yours is probably the most sensible post on this thread. Every now and again I try to get my otherhalf to eat healthy and his answer is always ........... It's a bit late now to worry about what I eat, I should have started years ago when I was being wined and dined on the expense accounts!, and he is right.

I'm at the stage in life where I'm easing up on dietary restrictions, to be honest. My arteries and blood pressure are good so bring on the bacon.

We can all try to make better choices in what we eat as opposed to be fanatical about everything.

If eating well can extend my life, I am going for it!

Like the old Abbott and Costello joke when they were put before the firing squad. They asked Costello if he had any last wishes.

He replied, "I want to die of old age".

As long as I have quality of life, I don't see the rush to meet my maker. IMHO

As the article pointed out, the biggest concern for all of us is the resistance to antibiotics that common bacteria are developing due to overuse of antibiotics in the food we eat. It isn't so much about us as it is about our kids and grandkids. Bacteria don't discriminate by age. We may all have a finite time on this planet but why hurry the exit and why endanger our progeny?

Numbers are changing with younger folks moving here. My parents never ate junk food, neither did we, and our kids rarely.
I never had fast food or processed food till I got sent to Nam. I hope to live longer than parents at 86 and 90. They are Still out and about everyday.

I would imagine most restaurants in villages gets F. You're little crusade to get rid of fast food around here for so called high end restaurants is fruitless. It's not going to happen. And besides no one knows what goes on behind closed doors.

We seem to be doing something right, We are living longer than our ancestors and whatever they’re putting in or on our
Meats and vegetables sure makes it taste good.
