Are they building it yet? Haven’t been down 301 in months?

There are many miles from north villages to south villages.

I see a lot of those type restaurants mentioned and rarely see anything about McDonalds, Chili's, Applebees, etc. Thanks!
Here is a list of restaurants. I make no claim as to the accuracy of this list. However, I do accept input.

To us the Steak n Shake is the same. We don’t have one but have been to the one in Erie. $2.99 and $3.99 meals same at Erie. Have not seen any different prices. As for grocery shopping we have seen a huge difference. Very expensive for many items. Some say it is cheaper to eat out than buy groceries.

The input from current villagers is an invaluable tool and is much appreciated. My wife and I love watching the videos that villagers put on their youtube channels. The only thing is we don't always relate to them because we are middle-class citizens and won't have the money to eat at country clubs and other upscale establishments. At least not on a weekly basis. I'm hoping that one day, someone will start showing videos that we can better relate to. I'm sure we can't be the only ones who will be living in TV that won't live the affluent lifestyle portrayed in most online videos.
Not to worry. The country clubs are generally that in name only. They consist of the golf shop and a restaurant open to everyone. The prices are not over the top. I have found we can get good entrees for less than $20 per person, and many quite a bit less. And an entree includes a veggie and a starch - full meal. I'm the chef at home but even the chef needs a night out every now and then.

TV is very egalitarian. You can dress up or dress down, dine in or dine out, I think you'll find you get a good bang for your buck here.

I don’t eat fast food often, but twice in the last month I was short on time and got not so fast food. Once at Chick-Fil-A and once at Wendy’s. Both times I went to the drive up window in the golf cart and both times I had to wait over 20 minutes. That kind of defeats the purpose of fast food. I won’t be returning any time soon to either of those places.

Seems strange talking about Steak & Shake now, it was my high school hangout '65 to '68. Our S&S on 34th Street North (US Hwy 19) in St. Petersburg was a drive-in. Girls on roller skates would come out and put a tray on your car window. On Friday & Saturday nights there would be at least 300 cars parked and cruising the place, they had 3 renta-cops just to direct traffic. Next door was a vacant lot, usually another 100 cars parked there. Their Coke glasses were big and heavy like a milk shake glass and had their logo painted on glasses. That was a contest of ours, to see who had as many glasses as they could get, I even had a few trays. Unfortunately that place is no longer, it's been torn down.
