NO, there are no $10 burgers

My wife and I each get a burger, share an order of fries and a drink with 2 straws about $14.00 :eclipsee_gold_cup::clap2: |

And Five Guys is not golf cart accessible. Still, if the missus wants to try it I will go. |
I tried the local 5 Guys and I would rate it as better than Micky D's and other fast food joints but that is about it. First trip there I asked for the regular burger and frys and was surprised to find the regular was a two pattie burger. Next time I tried the single and that was about enough. As far as being healthy I would not make 5 Guys a habit, but once or twice every 6 months would be okay.
Now if you want a REALLY good burger and you happen to be in the Akron Ohio area you have to give Swenson's a try. There burgers are oh so good. They mix a lot of brown sugar into the burger before it is pressed. You can try this at home but it will only work on a flat top grill or fried in a skillet as it caramelizes the brown sugar during the frying process. Next you have to butter the buns and toast them but do not burn them. Add mustard, pickle and little sweet onion and you are in pure heaven. |

Let the rumors fly:plane: |
Let me be the first St Charles resident hoping for a Five Guys on the southern environs. We had a new one around Christmas time in Ohio, fell in love, but have to moderate visits. Moved down to TV in May and lo and behold we were pleasantly surprised and elated that Five Guys wouod not be one of the things we would miss. Their marketing staff seems to be pretty sharp on these issues, so would not be surprised to see a southern presence of Five Guys.

I had the small burger with regular onions, fried onions, mayonnaise, and tomatoes today for lunch. The buns are soft and sweet.
Yummy. Got grease on my new shirt. |

As new Villagers, we were delighted to see Five Guys here. Our only complaint..all of their rolls have sesame seeds on them. You would think, being located next door to a retirement community...these food establishments would wise up to the fact that many older people have Diverticulitis and cannot eat seeds. Why not offer up some seedless rolls? As a result, my husband will not frequent this establishment.Their suggestion was to eat the burger on a hot dog roll....
