But they won't know it's a problem if you don't inform them. YOU are the customer. And although the customer is NOT always right, the customer's input is invaluable to letting ownership know there might be issues to deal with.

I agree with you. I believe a complaint is a gift. Management should be grateful you took the time to point out a problem to them.

We owned a restaurant and no one should settle for food not cooked the way you ordered it. Send it back and if it still comes back unacceptable you have 3 choices. 1) ask to talk to the manager, then 2) accept the meal as it is, or 3) say this is totally unacceptable and leave. you are not responsible for paying for something that is not cooked correctly

Try Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Lake Sumter Too Jays is also doing well lately.

Everybody has a bad day. We have eaten there many times and have been very satisfied.

If you have lived in TV for years you would know that there are always staffing issues because we have overbuilt and the number of servers and cooks do not meet the demand. No new news here.

In the last two weeks I have traveled through five states other than Florida. It is NOT a Florida problem. Same situation everywhere. But in a few months all will be right with the world.

I knew one of their cooks and I would NEVER eat anything he gave me. The management was smart enough to dump him very quickly.

Never been, hope to try it out when we check on our house this summer. To busy trying to work on things around the house, always forget to just relax.

Their repulsion has been spotty since the beginning!

I eat there at least once a month for breakfast. I have no complaints. I like my english muffin dark as well. Sometimes its not as dark as I like. I eat it anyway. Its still delicious and I dont have to cook or clean up after myself.

Speaking of cleaning up....................I was surprised to see the person clearing tables just throw contents (tea, ice, lemon, soda, etc.) of glasses out into the street. :ohdear:

The Bacon was burnt and greasy worst I ever tasted could not eat it.
The over easy eggs were broken and overcooked.
One pancake was not brought out with the order and only came after the person was done eating.
After I asked for a well toasted English muffin it came barely toasted at all. Then when I showed it to the waitress and she agreed and I asked for another one well toasted after about 10 minutes she brought back another one that again was barely toasted and she said "they said this is the best they can do" This was the worst part and it was not the waitresses fault but the cooks need to go! SAVE YOUR MONEY! The Flying Biscuit has crashed landed!

My husband and I ate twice last month at The Flying Biscuit, and we found their menu to be rather unique for breakfast foods. We had no problems with our orders, and the food was great. Yes, the bird outside were annoying, but that is simply because they are so understaffed because no one wants to work anymore when they can sit home and collect unemployment. I think once people get back to work, and they pick up some employees, they will be able to stay on top of those tables outside. But birds will be birds.

Flying Biscuit has Not Crashed!

So sorry to hear about your experience. We have always been extremely pleased with the Flying Biscuit. The staff is great and the food is always delicious. It is one of our favorite places. I'm sure your experience is the exception... not the norm. One opinion based on one visit is not an accurate reflection of The Flying Biscuit. Give them another try.

Did you tell them too remake your bacon & egg order?

It's not just there it's in a lot of stores, Last night I wanted a burgher , went to square one , I ordered with no tomatoes, it came with a tomatoe, I told them to make new order, they didn't they removed the tomatoe I refused it and left , went to Bob Evans ordered the same it took about 20 minutes to make and the burgher was so well done it tasted horrible.

It's all over

I was really interested in going to the Flying Biscuit one day but then I saw the prices. $10 for bacon, eggs, toast, grits. They might have the best grits in the country and it wouldn't matter because I wouldn't ever eat them anyway. And then I'd still have to tip them on top of that? Fuggedaboutit.

I tried pricing out their a la carte options and it would've ended up costing me more without the grits.

So I went to Darrell's. For $7.50 I got bacon, eggs, toast, homestyle potatoes, and orange juice. $10 covered more food and included the tip and tax.
